President's Corner

A Letter from the New President - Ray Turek

July starts the beginning of 2017-2018 ISM-NE fiscal year and I want to use this as a kick-off on improving our support to you.  As an affilate of  ISM, we can direct resources your way to develop the skill gaps, certifiction, and information needed to not just succeed but to master Supply Management.

In the month of August, we have two (2) exciting events coming up...
August 9 (Wednesday)        Annual Golf Outing (Grand Island)
August 17 (Thursday)          Supply Tour Henry Doorly Zoo (Omaha)

Our board, including James Vortherms (President Elect), Edward Haynes (First Vice President), Laurel Mitchell (Past President), & Tim Schamhorst (Past President) has an action-packed program ready for you.  So please check out the above events & see the calendar of events listed on future events. If there are topics or programs of interest, please let us know.

If any of you have interest in helping, please contact me. Just a reminder, if you are a CPSM or CPM in search of ways to earn CEH’s for recertification, volunteering for committee chair and future Board positions will earn you seven CEH’s per year for recertification.

Ray Turek, C.P.M.
